SOMAR constructs, modifies, and maintains our fleet of tugs and barges, enabling us to adapt rapidly to market changes and customer needs. Since 1979, SOMAR has combined quality with cost-effectiveness to construct lumber barges, covered house barges, and double hull liquid cargo barges, as well as line haul and ship assist tugs. The shipyard’s skilled personnel can build or modify a vessel to customer specifications reliably and efficiently.
